Summoner L60 Quest - Book with a bite - stat squish issue?

I don't know if this would be considered a 'bug' so to speak so I put it here. I'm having a lot of difficulty beating the Principa fight against the book and I think it has to do with the stat squish.

The book seems to be doing a lot more damage than it should. I'm decked out in L60 blue gear and have 9500 HP. The baddie is taking me down in 4-5 shots and even with blowing through cooldowns, summons, Energy Drain/Fester, Chocobo healing and Super Potions, I can barely get it down below half health.

i watched a video on the encounter and previously the example video character had 23000 HP. The baddie is doing 2k per shot.

I'd recommend posting this into the "bugs" section of the forum, too!

They never updated it from when pet tanking was removed... so now its even worse. The solution was to just kite around crystal but now you die even faster...
SMN might be fun at cap but leveling it is awful and clunky..
How did they miss this...

Replied to another thread with the same issue. My SMN was 261 and first round it ate my HP like a fat kid in a cake shop. Second time, healer choco kept me alive. Tank choco will probably do as well. You can burn it down pretty quick if you're fast without one but you need to be very well geared, melded, and fast.
