Do you think the devs are fans of Majora's Mask considering the last trial name and the fact we're on the moon?

but the final boss is not on the moon, it's at the edge of the universe. we were done with the moon before the halfway point.

I don't mean actually on the moon for the trial but on the moon at some point in the story with that trial name with resemblance to Majora's Mask.

I doubt it. The moon was referencing FFIV not MM. And the final day was just a play on 'the final days.'
