NIN, why are Mudras so slow?

I don't see any cast times in the job guide, but if we hit the keys too fast, it fails.

Is this because it's making us wait while the balls animation and sound plays for each mudra key?

It would be nice if they could queue all the keystrokes, no matter how fast we hit them, and send them all to the server, while playing the animations and sounds at the same time.

No, you can't just jam the mudras quickly, they do have a very short delay between them. Once you get used to it, there's a rhythm to the input.

Depending on certain circumstances lag can be a thing on very very rare circumstances but even during this launch chaos I've not had that issue. Until you get the hang of it, watch your icons for the mudras as you do them and you should get a feel for the small delay in between which is intentional.

I rarely fail them when practicing on the dummies, but while doing busy FATEs today, I ended up doing bunnies half the time, unless I slower WAY down, taking up to 5 seconds to complete them.

Might just be a pacing issue. People in the heat of the moment tend to spam their keys a lot more than usual because things get a bit more frantic, to get their abilities out faster and whatnot. I ended up making bunny mudras if I don't watch my pacing and get overly excited. Just something to keep in mind.

I feel like they should gray out the button that you press when you press it. I feel like it would make the class far more accessible, and it would barely change the difficulty of the class imo. The current system is just way to punishing and can really take you out of your rhythm when in combat.

Nah, that'd be too ping-friendly. It's shallow out the job!

Any shallowing we do should be the likes of removing finishers (thank god we're down from 4 to 2 now, one of which we use only once per 30s) and utility in favor of things like Huraijin or mutually exclusive two-part abilities like Bushin -> Phantom Kamaitachi so they can each have their separate buttons despite their never being simultaneously usable.
