World Transfer Login unavaiable (Light Datacenter)

I've not seen this adressed anywhere, so I decided to make a dedicated topic for it.

In the post regarding the expected login queues before the launch there was mention of a feature that allows to login onto a less populated server on your datacenter, which would result in shorter queues.

I would really love to do that, but whenever I try to log back in and try I get a message that "World Transfer is currently unavaiable"

From reddit posts I have the hypothesis that on NA and JP servers the feature works, meaning the EU servers would have to be in significantly worse shape than the others.

I really hope SE will put concentrated effort to make the EU servers stand on the same level as the others as fast as possible.

I can confirm this. My main char is on Light/Odin and since on this SE help page recommend the new "world visit function" to login quicker I did this on Saturday and was transferred to Light/Twintania. But since then I stuck there away from my FC and friends and with a lot of features disabled (e.g. can not sell stuff at market, or can not use my assistant to put stuff into my store or get stuff from it).

The way back would in the main cities but this is completely not working anymore on Light. I wait there on Saturday 2,5h and I gave up and was just advancing from position 20 to 10 in this time. I was then talking to other visitors waiting in this queue and one guy was on 4th place of queue and waiting their since 9 hours (1) without world transfer.

I try it this morning again for two hours but the same as yesterday. World Transfer back to my homeworld is completely not working.
So I'm trapped on the wrong server with less features and no friends and no way to go back to my homeworld.

For curiosity I created a new char on a Japanese data center and there not even the login queue was very small but also the world visit feature to other servers and back was working instantly without waiting times!

So maybe World transfer is only Light out of order? Please support communicate this to Japan and ask them fix this. Not only the users in Japan what a good gaming experience also the user in Europe would really love to enjoy the game.

I can confirm that it was working this morning on NA servers, but has since stopped. I don't think this is unique to EU servers.

Yeah, but I just recently try it in Japan and there it works fine.

I mean, it's like 2 or 3am in JP time. Not surprised it's working over there.

The JP night time when I tried my experiment is surely one factor of the equation, but the number of servers for each region is another.


JP region(125 Mio people) has 32 Servers, US region(330 Mio people) has 24 Servers and EU region(512 Mio people) only 12 Servers.

I did not know the numbers of player interested in this game for each region so I will just compare the numbers of peoples living in those regions
and assuming that all those rich first world regions have the same potential to produce a similar amount of gamers interested in MMO games or FF14.

This will make:
JP region: 1 server for ca. 3,9 Mio people
US region: 1 server for ca. 13,75 Mio people
EU region: 1 server for ca. 42,5 Mio people
(I know not all those 4/14/43 Mio people play FF14 on 1 server but only a small fraction.
This is just to compare the potential density of people that could do it.)

So JP region has a factor of 10 more server capacity as EU region.
And even US region has still a factor of 3 more server capacity as EU region.

I would assume this is the main reason why EU region suffers so much at the moment and world transfer is broken.

Because of the Lucky Bancho Survey (https://luckybancho.ldblog.jp/wsurve...m?world=Global) we have good data regarding the number of characters per region.
JP: 326.817 which means roughly 10.213 per server
NA: 443.466 which means roughly 18.478 per server
EU: 181.024 which means roughly 15.085 per server

Going from the data NA should be even more effected but they aren't.
It also shows that currently JP has the best service since they have the least chatacters per servers.

Monday I could travel back to my home world Odin after 3 days stucking in Twintania.

On Monday evening queues to Odin were still full and stucking and talked to people in queue and one guy claimed that he was waiting since 740 min there. Whenever he told the truth or not (?) I could clearly see the queue was not advancing at all.

So I decided to try different targets from Twintania. The longest queue had Odin and Phoenix.
The other world queues where not too long and for Zodiark there was no queue and the transfer was happening imminently.

So I then I decided to do a roundtrip to the worlds I could travel to:
From Zodiark I checked Odin and Phoenix again and the queues were stucking but I could travel to Shiva imminently.
From Shiva I checked Odin and Phoenix again and the queues were stucking but I could travel to Lich imminently.
From Lich I checked Odin and Phoenix again and the queues were stucking but I could travel back to Twintania imminently.

When arriving in Twintania I checked again queue to Odin and I could see that the queue was going down really fast all of the sudden
and so I wait maybe a minute the when queue was going down from 20 to 1 and then I transfer back to Odin.

So probably I was just coincidentally checking the queues around the same time when they solve the problem on the server.
