Fighting Animation Freeze + Sound

So when im fighting and doing my rotation my char and other chars on screen will freeze from 1 - 5 seconds but can still move. Then it all hiccups and rushes the animations forward. At the same time the BMG and Sound Effects go silent. Graphics up to date according to everything I can find.

I found quite a few Sound not playing, glitch and other bugs but haven't seen anything about the animations of chars. Plus im sure its not a network / packet loss issue. I tried downgrading to directX 9 and my game completely freaked out and crashed a TON plus nothing loaded right.

If i was just having a sound issue i wouldn't be to worried but as a main tank / healer freezing animations can mean a party wipe at the wrong time.

Am i the only one have this issue still?

No a bunch of us are basically without sound or turning it off because its so distorted or awful. Mine is on par with CIA sound torture techniques. Basically its causing a lot of game stuttering, lag, delays etc in conjunction with the sound issues. Its been everything from overlapping sounds and distortion to no sound at all. Essentially check the other posts about sound issues. So far no one has any conclusive solutions but some folks have gotten lucky so it may be worth reviewing them. Testing settings with the queue times is pretty insane right now though. I have definitely done that more than play the game at this point.

Does this issue happen when Final Fantasy XIV is the only program running? Where in game does the crash occur? Also, could you provide a system report? Simply go to the 'Config' option on the Final Fantasy XIV launcher and to the right of 'System Information' click on 'Display.'

I'm having this issue as well...not just in the middle of a fight but also when questing. I thought it was my internet connection but it seems to just be from the game. Everyone will just stop moving/casting skills and when I cast, it doesn't work...then everything will suddenly fast forward.

I got the same issue! Tried changing to DirectX9, changing FFXIV sound settings both in-game and the Sound Adapter, tried with changing my headset, evrytime getting the same laggy result, impossible to hear and enjoy the expansion at it's full. Before Endwalker I had not such problems!!!
