PS5 Version unintendend button input detected by game

Steps:
1. While riding a mount my game unintentionally detected input from d-pad 'up button' selecting my own character from party list. This can't be undone and the game is in a loop 'pressing the up button'. Turning my controller off doesn't fix the issue, the game still detects input....
2. By chance I managed to press the 'circle button' and that small opening gave me enough room to press 'options button' but even then the game detects input which makes the cursus go trough the list of options continuously...
3. When logging out of the game at the start up screen the game also recieves this input. Only option is to completely close the game.
