Fantasia changed my character to a standard male Viera that I did not see or edit

Steps:
1. I used my Fantasia on Dec 1 before the maintenance, took off my gear and logged out.
2. I logged back in around 11:00 AM on Dec 3 as a female Miqo'te with a 1000+ player queue and had "Unable to obtain character data" so I couldn't see my Miqo'te.
3. At 11:03 AM, I logged out and tested the Fantasia by loading saved character data (white-haired male Viera).
4. I cancelled and backed out to the character selection screen to restart the Fantasia editing because I wanted to edit a new character from scratch.
5. At the race selection screen, I chose male Viera and got kicked out back into the character selection screen rather than going forward to the character details screen.
6. I lost the option to edit my character when I right click my name so I logged in and my character became a standard brown-haired male Viera that I've never seen before.
7. I changed my hairstyle at the aesthetician to confirm that the standard male Viera did not have the base face or ears that I selected in any of my saved character data.
8. I logged out and found that my Fantasia message and options to edit are gone even though I never saw a character details/edit screen or confirmed the appearance of a brown-haired male Viera.
