Crit Hit Rate

How does Crit Rate work? Does anyone have any useful links for this?

For example, a Demilune Bhuj has a Crit Rate of +12. For me this makes no sense..
Maximising your gear is like drawing a picture with your eyes shut lol.

Any ideas?

Most stats are 1 point per +0.1% gain. Crit rate is modified by a few other things, so that's not exactly correct for it, but it's close.

Side note: I could be wrong. I'm just making assumptions from what I've read.

But Crit Rate is extremely disappointing. Got a baseline of 6000 hits to get 11.17% on R45 Coblyns using a weathered gladius. Adding 72 Crit Rate increased the % to 13.5% (3000 trials). So my guess is somewhere around 30 Crit Rate adds 1% Crit. And if Crit Rate follows every other stat trend, there will be diminishing returns for higher level mobs.

That's disappointing.. I guess DEX has more influence in increasing crit. hit rate maybe..?

Actually, if this post can be taken at face value, then DEX doesn't modify crit rate at all.

Yes, DEX does not affect crit rate at all anymore. It's just gear and level difference.

If you stack it up over time your number of crits will increase but don't expect to add 1 piece and suddenly be critting all over the place. It's best to take it as an "added bonus" on gear that has other useful stats instead of solely going after crit rate.

testing ive read has crit rate at 30 points to 1% increase in crit rate, also affect by dlvl i think.
