Babylon's Fall And FF14

Interesting article on Siliconera about Babylon's Fall borrowing assets from FF14. It seems that YoshiP himself offered some gear designs and emotes to the game to help out the budget and development process.

I imagine if we're getting another crossover at some point in the future, it may be Babylon's Fall that ends up returning the favour.

Fascinating. Bringing in more players of MMO's is definitely going to benefit FFXIV in the long run.

It will bring more possibility for wider range of collaboration within ff14 and also a good subtle marketing for ff14 and other games as well

Babylon's Fall is published by SE, so I doubt they even paid anything to use the assets. That would make this really similar to Nier:Automata.

Incidentally, both Nier and this game were developed by PlatinumGames. It's really obvious both PlatinumGames and SE get along with each other at this point, so I'd be more surprised if there isn't a crossover event of some kind.

I didn't know that. Neat.

I hope this means that both games will design their own gear and then potentially share it later.

I don't mind the idea of the same gear being available across multiple games as long as the volume of overall designs is kept high and it doesn't become "one game's budget-worth of gear across two games".

Though if it's a serious fantasy game then it wouldn't be accepting half of what FFXIV puts out anyway.

Thankfully we already know the EW 24man is XIV related so we're safe in that regard for at least 2 years

Hmm? I think those raids were a nice re-vitalization of the raid content. The Tower at Paradigm's Breach is one of the most fun raids in the game in my opinion.
The story wasn't all that good or interesting, especially since I haven't played a single NieR game, but the raids were good imo and having my character suddenly walk in surroundings so different felt pretty damn cool.
