People not waiting for other people to finish cutscenes....why?

It frustrates to me no end that people will not wait for players new to a duty to finish a cutscene before pulling that final boss. Most of the time it is 1 minute at most. Please, be considerate and allow that person new to the duty to get to truly experience the dramatic entrance of the boss. I know that you personally may not care about the appearance, but for others, it is an enjoyable aspect of the game, and allowing them to do it does not cost you more than a little bit of time while avoiding any upset.

Also, is it time that SE add a system like in MSQ Queue to make it not possible to pull until everyone has finished cutscenes if at least one person in the group has never seen the cutscene before? Unfortunately, people not being considerate make this something I strongly support.

I swear I saw a thread with this exact headline in the not too distant past.

Sometimes it is done by accident or they are just oblivious, but yes, unfortunately there are some people out there who are simply incredibly selfish and no amount of requests for patience or consideration will reach them. It doesn't matter how great or how little the length of the cutscene is, they are just unwilling to play nice with others as a matter of personal policy. They do not care.

I would be fine with this, and not just in the cases where a first-timer is present. If you make it so there's only a cutscene if there's a newbie in the group, then this makes it seem like the cutscenes are the newbie's "fault" and it could provoke hostility towards them. Or, people might just leave the group if there is a newbie present. Maybe give an extra bonus if you happen to get a dungeon that has one of the longer pre-boss scenes.

there's already bonuses for first timers. People just have no respect for others sometimes.

Most people do that I've seen outside two of them. Those two times it was accidental not noticing people in cs.
There is little to no reason to look at the party list unless your a healer to be honest. So typically most just dont notice due to that reason

A lot of content that people are getting pissy about others not waiting for cutscenes is nearing a decade old. Many people have been doing this stuff for years in roulettes and will continue to do them for years through roulettes. New players should be glad that there are actually players to run the content with them - but a lot of the people I've seen complaining about this are not new players anyway.

Dungeons and alliance raids are the bottom tier of PvE content. Alliance raids are designed to where half the people in the raid can be braindead. Seeing Xande say something emo, teleport into the boss arena, and auto attack the tank for the first 15 seconds isn't going to make or break the CT experience.

For trials and normal raids it's not possible to pull before the everyone has seen the cutscene and loaded in. This is such a niche problem that seems to tick white knights off more than anyone else, so I don't think peoples' daily roulettes need to be slowed down any more to accommodate it.

Most people do wait, but sometimes a tank just tunnels and pulls it, forgetting to look at the party list to see if someone is in a cut scene. There are certain dungeons where it gets pulled by accident a lot because of being too close.

It is common in alliance raids because there are 24 people and it's not clear to the other two parties if there are cut scenes in a different party.

people can autowalk into the boss and accidentally trigger the fight, people might not want to wait for 2 out of 24 people, people might not care about cutscenes at all, people might misclick an ability and attack the boss, people might get enjoyment out of pulling while knowing someone is in a cutscene

MSQ roulette is the graveyard of design. Don't ever pull anything from MSQ roulette.

I can see potential in putting up an invisible wall before a boss if someone is in cutscene, but ideally we shouldn't have any intro cutscenes longer than 10-15 seconds or so as boss intros. Ever. Like go back and hack cutscenes to bits to shorten their length if necessary. I don't want to pull bosses early, but I also detest being forced to see the same cutscene over and over. (E8n/E12n) are miserable farms due to this.

I accept no justification for forced cutscenes *except* in Praetorium/Castrum as a stopgap measure, which were admitted to be failures of design. Ideally MSQ Roulette gets exploded and replaced with solo instances.
