Character Login Issue
I am currently attempting to login on my computer and running into several issues with a 16a error. I followed the forum advice for a Japanese written 16a Error when attempting to launch the game. Now I have been able to get to character select and pick a character, but then get a message saying "An unexpected error has occured 16a".

Good morning and thank you for posting in the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums
You may want to try deleting the locally-saved data folder (My Documents > My Games > Final Fantasy XIV). Make sure to create a backup of this so you can replace it if it doesn't solve the issue. Once the contents of the folder have been deleted, right click it.. If it is set to "read only" please uncheck that option and launch the game.
Also, try running the game without any overlays.

I have tried all these methods and still no success. Is there any other methods I could try?

An update to what I have attempted as well. I have been able to login to another character, but not my main character.

Good morning and thank you for posting in the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.
We apologize for this ongoing issue. Please note, if the error lies with just this one character, you may want to try deleting the locally saved data folder (My Documents > My Games > Final Fantasy XIV). Make sure to create a backup of this folder so you can have a copy of the in-game settings should you wish to use them again. If you are still running into an issue, please be sure to remove all Final Fantasy XIV related files off the computer (Fresh install) as some of these items may have been corrupted upon disconnecting from the game.

I have attempted to delete these files, but they do not delete, telling me I do not have permissions to do so. I have tried to change them from Read Only, but they do not change, and I ran them as Administrator as well to make sure. Any information is appreciated on this.
