Housing lottery question.

Not sure where people find the news that comes out but I'm only hearing secondhand info about endwalker. I'm curious if we are able to enter for more than one house at a time. If not, this will be even worse than what we have right now.

Let's say the lottery for each house that's 4 days. If you only get one entry total and not able to bid for any other house for those 4 day, and 100 people also bid, then you have a 1 in 100 chance every 4 days to get a house. That sound horrible.

Apparently one lottery at a time. Your first mistake was assuming they are ever going to fix housing, it can only get worse.

Can only enter 1 house lottery at a time and you get a penalty if you take back your lotto ticket.

So have fun.

You should probably be happy about it as well, seeing that you'll pay the full price of the plot when you "buy" the lottery ticket.
And if you don't return to the plot if you lost the lottery you will lose all the Gil you put into that plot. (90 days timelimit to get it back)
You have to manually go to each plot you did sign up for to get them back.

People are getting news from the live letter stream. They have an official Twitch and YouTube they do livestream on and there’s a section on these forums that gets updated after new live letters get posted. Fair warning that this live letter was 6hrs and 48 mins long.

It's not a perfect system either but it's 100% better than camping out for 24 hours with no sleep for months as some people do at the moment. Plus you can see the number of people applying for the plot.

The note about schedule being shared is a bit unclear, but if it'll work they way I think it would (having global reset time shared across all plots no matter when they became vacant), it will be wise to check on available plots closer to the end of current lottery window and apply for the one with less people in list. We'll see in 6.0/6.1, though, this is just speculation on my part as the explanation about schedule wasn't particularly clear.

You can't withdraw your bid. So you can't change your mind and bid on another house, you have to wait out the lottery, and if you don't win you then have a set time to get your gil back. The penalty is for people who bid and win and then don't claim the plot within the designated time.

But to answer your question & sorry for the same kind of response-
Each player may only enter for one plot of land for each lottery period and can only be owned by 1 paid account & you cannot own houses on alts. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

They're still taking feedback on this system- I'd recommend a trickle effect where we can bid on x amount of houses during the bidding system - implement two types of tickets, a bidding ticket that doesn't cost gil & for the winners, the land permit ticket that does cost the plot gil amount- that way, it allows players to bid on multiple houses and once the lottery ends, depending on RNG if we end up winning the 1 plot, the other tickets & plots we bidded on become void & go to the other people and so on

But there is going to be a lottery area and a 1st come 1st server area

As far as the 1st come 1st serve, I think there should be a 1 hour grace period before we can purchase the plot. It gives players time to log in

This all seems messy, im actually super happy that Ishgard has never appealed to me as a housing area

Hmm going from a 1 in (however many people are there when it sells) chance 1 or more times a day to 1 in (hundreds or more) every few days doesn't sound better.
