Help forming a free company

Hello. I am on zalera and I have been trying for 3 days now to form my company. I have been going to each major city asking every few hours and especially during high pop times and I have not gotten even so much as an acknowledgement. I always hear about how people are too friendly and jump to help but man, I am a little down about this. It's almost as though I don't have privilege to speak in the game.

I was hoping if I asked here I could get 3 people or so to help me out. You don't have to stay if you don't like. I am still new so I don't have any bribes or gil to give out for helping me :(

Some people use Party Finder with the Other category. Set it to recruit on your own world instead of across the data center though. You could also try the Fellowship Finder. If someone joins your fellowship, you can go into the member list and try to invite them to it, it should work if they are not in a dungeon or offline.

You could also try the ffxiv recruitment reddit or advertising in the Community Finder https://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodes...munity_finder/

People are very willing to help but what you're asking is for people to remove thmselves from their free company to help you start yours. That's a lot of work involved for people and most wouldn't wanna uproot themselves from their family.
While I have no doubt you will eventually find people to help you out, I think a better idea would be you seeking out and joining an existing free company to make companions in.

I have never tried to recruit anyone from an existing company. I always put that I am seeking people not in a company. I have never had this much trouble in the hundreds of mmos I have played, ones with MUCH less population. I see many people walking around without a company. I have reached out to them and received no response from the 16 people I have tried to ask, that I could catch before they ran off. I do not wish to join another company at this time. Thank you for taking the time to reply. I appreciate it.

For what it's worth, players on the Free Trial cannot use tells or join Free Companies, so what might have happened is you were contacting people who could not respond to you.

If you are reaching out to people, you can use Player Search and click the sprout icon to find new players in a specific area. Some of them may not appreciate the random tells but there are people that do it. If you search a Stormblood area or minimum level 61 then you know they are not on the trial.
