Regarding the Start of Support for macOS Monterey

MacOS Monterey, the latest version of macOS, is scheduled to be released on Oct. 26, 2021, and we are performing operation verifications with the aim of starting support for it with the Mac version of FINAL FANTASY XIV by around the end of December.

If you use the Mac version of FINAL FANTASY XIV, we ask that you please refrain from updating to macOS Monterey until support for it begins.

We will let users know about when support for macOS Monterey will begin as soon as a date has been determined.

Regarding macOS’s latest version, macOS Monterey, verification has been in progress for the Mac version of FINAL FANTASY XIV with the aim of adding support around the end of December, but several issues were confirmed in the inspection process so at this point in time it will be difficult to begin support around end of December.

Verification will proceed and depending on the prospects, we will provide another update.

We would like to inform you of the current status of the testing for macOS’s latest version, macOS Monterey.

We are currently in the process of the final operation testing for macOS Monterey, and if no problems are found, we expect to start support for Monterey in early July. However, it may take more time depending on how the testing progresses.

We can now confirm that the Mac version of FINAL FANTASY XIV is compatible with macOS Monterey (12.4), and support for macOS Monterey (12.4) has begun.

When updating to macOS Monterey, please first check if you meet the system requirements for macOS Monterey and the Mac version of FINAL FANTASY XIV.

If you have upgraded to macOS Monterey (12.3) or later before the start of support for macOS Monterey and an error occurs when launching the Mac version of FINAL FANTASY XIV and you are unable to update the application, please download the latest installer from the following page and reinstall the client.
