Content request for World building deep dungeons sort of and casual enjoyment.

I feel like adding these things will make the world feel huge, immersive, and add content that isn’t tied to the MSQ that adventurers of all sort will thoroughly enjoy.

Please consider letting us adventure into unknown lands and seas while giving the cities more personality.

I know deep dungeons are a lot of hard work but I can imagine everyone finding something they like with these. This could perhaps considered for the next expansion.

Limsa Lominsa
Shipping and trade routes
1. You and your party embark on a ship to deliver goods to a random part of the world.
2. It may even be cool to offer customization options for the ship.
3. Plays like a deep dungeon but decisions must be made in regards to the directions the ship will take, each step of the journey contains an RNG encounter based on decisions, such as pirates, sea creatures, a deserted island, nothing novel in which case the ship cruises for a short amount of time, you can shipwreck on rocks necessitating ship repairs. Anything else the devs find interesting. Of course your ship can sink if you fail.
4. This may even include difficulty levels such as choosing easy routes with casual low pay or more difficult routes with higher risks and higher pay off.
5. Upon completion you can see a cut scene of different port towns and your goods being unloaded. And of course some sort of rewards.

I can see plenty of people dedicating themselves to being sailors for a while.

Gridania
Famous for forests.
1. A horror themed lost Forrest.
2. Dark and with plenty of encounters, could even bring back a 4 man rare odin encounter.
3. Progress with RNG areas containing ghosts, demons, zombies, river crossings, abandoned overgrown cabins or villages, areas SO dark you can barely see, and you have to feel your way through them. If it’s scary and deadly, it’s there.
4. You would go in because of tales of lost treasure, exploration and Gridania being famous for its woods.

Uldah
Journey into the deserts/Expedition
1. Long trek, open panorama/horizon style voyage deep dungeon.
2. You can use your chocobo
3. Encounter snakes, scorpions, other misc deadly creatures, bandits, looters, mummies you name it.
4. Areas could be long treks across the desert with no mobs, lost oasis, abandoned small temples/settlements/graves/maybe a pyramid etc…
5. Reason perhaps digging up ancient artifacts or discovering lost relics.

Would y’all like to engage in these adventuring activities?

I would probably only do them if they had some cool looking cosmetics glamours or some such, but the idea itself is actually pretty damn cool, it would feel like a small scale adventure, like many of the quests back in ARR, would be a nice throw back as well!

At first I was wondering how your idea would work as a deep dungeon, then I read the full post and...I agree. Your idea would really only work in that format since this is something that rougelike games actually use.

Yeah absolutely, I’m hoping some cool rewards would be in store such as interesting glams, maybe housing items, fashion accessories etc..

This is a super cool concept, I absolutely support it. Take this +1 from me ^.^

I certainly wouldn't complain if they expanded Deep Dungeons beyond just "really deep place" and "really tall place"
