Companions(discipline of hand) suggestion

So this may be a dumb suggestion if it is im sorry.

However I have an idea based off one of my favorite games of all times for this mostly (abandoned content) ps it seems unused to me so far.

So it is based off Monster rancher by the way.

So now to explain my idea that may be dumb but i hope it could happen.

So we get a type called rancer(or breeder)
Then we go to an instance stable zone after paying 100k, then later we can expand the instance for additional cost.

What it would do is we locate eggs, aether or other things then we hatch said creatures and tame/train them in the stable until they reach a certain affection level at which point we could trade,sell them or use them as new companions.

Also the "ranch" could have buyable training equipment that could evolve the companions based on what element we train them in

Examble golem gets trained on ice punching bag becomes a yeti.

This could be in Island Sanctuary already.

I'm not sure I can envision this as a job.
What would you do to level up? And what would levelling do for you?

This is a neat idea, but I wonder if it wouldn't work better if, like Island Sanctuaries, it's something open to everyone.

You would locate new eggs then feed them and help them (at task) like learn to fly

It would work as a time=exp instend of norm

So basic training would be 1k for 30mins of training

Then feeding time would give exp..

Cleaning the pens or stable would give some as well.

Could throw in exp to create outfits, special feed, and training equipment for the creatures

Perhaps even exp to teach them skills from the species (example) plant types learning something like acorn bomb.

So it would have a monster study were u get parts and craft a monster book then use it to learn how to teach an ability


As for what leveling would do for you

First new creatures you can tame, new equipment
Ability to imbuin companion armor for better damage,healing,tanking.
Ability to breed two creatures to create a new creature with upgraded stats (like better hp or attack speed)
Harvest droped and sheded parts like skin,shells etc
Ps it is open to all since everyone can play everything so its okay being like that

From the title I thought this would be about adding a Gatherer skill tree to the Chocobo companion, which thinking about it could be pretty cool.

As for what this thread actually suggested, I think (hope) the Island Sanctuary might have this sort of thing covered. Maybe not with the quite the breadth of companions you're imagining though as I'd rather have a chocobo focus, this game has surprisingly little chocobo focus given that it's a Final Fantasy title.
