Is there a player emote of someone punching their hand into their palm, across their chest? You see Cid use it a lot when he's determined to do something, and, in fact, it appears in most cut scenes to emphasize, "I'm going to do this".
I'm not an emote collector, but I'd like this one.

Nope, that's not it. You bring one hand forward in front of your chest in a fist, and punch the other open hand.
It's similar to the Eastern Greeting, but that's a smooth action, where the other has a "Let's get to it" feel.
And...a quick Google search shows that this is only a cut scene thing and not in the game as an emote. Yet.
