Do you think Melee DPS should have a weak AoE around lv16 for the very first dungeon?
Cuz, honestly, playing any melee before they access their first AoE skill is a suffering in pre-45 dungeons. If you're unlucky to get into a two melee DPS party in low-level contents, the only one who can AoE DPS is the tank. It makes fighting two groups of monsters or more so painful. Not help that single-target rotation is incomplete and boring too.
I believe a throw-away AoE for each melee class would be nice. These low-level AoE skills should be stand alone and not get any combo upgrade, with a potency like 80-100 (as long as they cause more total damage on 3 monsters and more). Their only purpose is to help with early dungeon contents, and can be forgotten once you access a more proper AoE skill post job-change, so it won't cause any skill bloat. Kinda like Black Mage's Blizzard II or healers' Cure I/Physick/Bebefict I, which you use when there are no other better spells available.
Nothing game-breaking. Just something that helps smooth out the early contents.
