Unable to retrieve character data

I get this error at Hyperion in my main character a few minutes ago, anyone knows whats is going on, or if you need to make a report? other character i have at cactuar is working fine :confused::confused: https://img2.finalfantasyxiv.com/acc...057.1633137397

This happens when the servers are a bit overwhelmed sometimes. It's nothing to worry about and you should still be able to log in with the character.

Hyperion is recovering from crashing. the server got DDoSed

Click name log in. Its a congestion prevention method.

It happens sometimes, such as after a maintenance, when there is an attack on the servers, or internet problems that affect thousands of people, or less frequently when they are just congested. It's a safety measure where the server doesn't send you your character information so it can handle the logins faster. You should still be able to click your name and log in.

I get this every once in a while. It has never prevented me from being able to log in and play, though.
