Phishing Scam Just Found

I don't know where to post this sort of content, but I figured tech support might work.

I'm not sure if this has been posted before, but I almost fell for this one. It's a link to a near identical FFXIV forum page for a 300M gil raffle. It has a mogstation login that also looks damn near flawless. I'm fairly certain it's for phishing. I'm posting the URL in two separate parts below.

This particular scam has been floating around for YEARS. But it's always good to get the word out. In addition, we never, ever follow links from chat, right? RIGHT?!

*Always search the topic of the link, never, ever copy paste unless you really want your PC to get digital herpes..drive by exploits are a thing*

One of the good folks on the forum found the actual support team that deals with fraud on the web host that the scammers like to use, and provided a link.

Sadly I can't find it.

But in theory, if I had found it, you could report to the host and they'd lose the ability to scam for a month.

Actually what they do is send tells from an already hacked account, so you'd be reporting the victim of the scam who actually followed the link, which is still a good thing.

Of the many hundreds of thousands of players there is always one naïve enough to follow the link. They usually have a character on standby that through the hacked account they invite into the victim's FC, then they see if they can find access to not only the victim's gil, but the FC gil too. This is one good reason for FC's not to give FC gil access to anyone in the FC but the leader. The phishers can't promote themselves to "leader" if they luck out and hack an officer's account. This scam has been around for awhile and yeah it helps to get the word out.
