Hamlet Defense - Is there overlap in supply and defense cycles?

So there's something I'm uncertain about as far as the hamlet defense cycles. The way it works is that there is a 50 hour period to supply the hamlet, and a 25 hour defense period. It seemed like you could still do supply missions during the defense periods, so do the two overlap? or does the supply period only start again after the defense period is over?

As far as I know the second the battle phase starts they don't accept any supplies and the second the battle phase ends they start taking supplies.

I believe he's asking about how it will work once all three are implemented.
I would hope that there is always at least once defense phase going on. supply

each different location will probably be staggered. For a single location, resources are not accepted while the battle phase is in progress, so no, there's no overlap.

Yea most likely the other hamlets will be staggered.

I meant for a single location, since that's all we have in the game until at least the next patch. I'm not a crafter or much of a gatherer, so I didn't pay any attention to the supply phase until I went to Hyrstmill for the defense period. When I talked to one of the NPCs, it seemed like supplies were still being accepted, but I could be wrong. I was asking for clarification so I can make an event schedule for my LS.

Nope, once a battle has ended the supplies are reduced to 0, so the idea of continuing to add supplies during that 25hr timer doesn't make sense with the current way it's set up.

My thinking was that the supply period that leads to the next defense period starts at the same time as the defense period, not that you could continue to supply the hamlet during the defense phase. That's why I gave the visual example.

Ah in that case it's the first visual you put up, it just goes 50/25/50/25.
