Legacy type camera movement

I finally got around to turn this on and its great how freely you can move while attacking.
But there is a big issue when walking and wanting to look around with left click, you can't. Only with autorun it is how I want it, and activating it every time is annoying. Its especially bad when flying on a mount gathering or something, you cannot look down and it feels weird too how slowly it turns you.
So hopefully there will be an option for this in Endwalker.

But the whole point of legacy movement is that Forward moves you the direction the camera is facing unless you're autorunning.

I don't know for how long you've been using it, but I had the same issue where pressing autorun all the time felt kinda weird but now I am just used to how it works, so if you just started playing with Legacy keep pushing through and you probably will get used to it.

Legacy made mechanics so much easier for me, and kiting is a breeze. No change of direction while running away from a mob, forcing me to waggle the mouse, and no backpedaling.

I used it just for a few hours and realize now the post doesn't make much sense rather i'm asking to run in any direction instead of backpedaling in standard type.

The only issue with legacy movement is that left/right run cause your camera to turn unless you hold the right mouse button down. If they gave us an option to turn that off, it'd be even more OP than it is because you could run backwards in intercardinals without using your mouse. As a result of this most people just bind strafe instead, which causes you to backpedal if you use it with backwards, very annoying.

Moving back-left and back-right is still better than using the strafe keys even with the unwanted camera arcking. Moving full speed slightly off the exact intercardinal isn't worse than moving exactly the direction you want to move but at half the speed.

I play on PS5 and I I wish there was a movement setting that didn’t require so much spinning.
Standard movement type even with auto adjust disable requires you to turn your screen to run backwards. Backpedaling=death.
Legacy movement type does not allow auto adjust to be disabled so your forced to fight the camera 100% of the time resulting in the awful screen wiggle.
Both options frustrate me so much and make anyone watching get motion sickness.
The easiest solution would be to just allow us to disable auto adjust on legacy movement. Why that’s not an option is idiotic beyond belief. They allow us to customize literally everything about the game interface but the camera, the piece that’s the most important, only has 2 bad options and a 3rd worse option (standard + auto adjust)

I didn't have issues with mechanics before but there were moments where I'd be moving away and then my character would turn and run directly back in the same direction I was running away from and it'd get me killed.
I finally had a ragequit moment because of it, it feels terrible and like complete bs when it happens so I looked it up and finally found Legacy.
Never looked back after that it's so much better.
