R50s and Behests

Why is it that r50s keep joining my low level behests and then don't help complete them? This makes it so that the targets are above my ability level to solo and i have to drop the behest. It's aggravating and making me fill up my blacklist pretty quickly. Do r50's benefit from this in any way?

I would imagine they want to get the achievement of doing 10 behests in each camp. I am saving that for the new classes in 2.0 so not to screw others...

This happened to me too. I think the guy was trying to PL me even though I didn't ask.

Screwing others just for an achievement.

If that's the case, then it's just obnoxious. I'm right to blacklist these people.

It is probably for the achievement. I finished all mine, but when I was doing it and there was one or more lowbies in the behest as well, I would stay out of party, buff them and get them to engage the enemy, then nuke it from outside. They get all the exp, bonus for fast kill and high levels and a touch of PL. I got the credit towards my achievement, win-win.

I could usually make my intentions clear with the auto translate and they tended to thank me for the assistance. I never let a lowbie go off and do it all by themselves though. That is just lazy and inconsiderate.

If they don't do anything, you could try asking them for help, and if they won't help, just not do anything, then they lose 30 mins of their time having waitied for the behest that ends in a failure.

I've been trying to hop into Behests here and there lately, only one I was too far above the level and that person joined after I had. I sort of sat back and let them kill while throwing out a few heals/buffs and finished off a couple mobs for them. It's one thing to join a behest first and then have others come in after you, but another when you drop in with a high level and obliterate everything for them.

I don't really care about the low levels who try to do behests. Get yourself a goddamn PL party.

That's what I do as well. It is not the LV50 fault if the behest has mobs' level calculated upon participants' level, but still they should work for their achievements without messing up others.

If a high level player is doing low level behests for the achievement, they should communicate and work with those players. Low level players are probably there for the experience or curiosity. As far as those players are concerned, the achiever is not a team player who is ruining their XP, hogging glory and overall being a jerk. Newer players don't know there's an achievement or why the achiever continues to hang out at that camp and maybe the next one.

It makes bad representation for the achiever and their associated linkshell.
