How Scholar Looks in Job Trailer - NOT ABOUT MECHANICS

Just in case people haven't read the title:

THIS IS NOT ABOUT JOB MECHANICS

THIS IS PURELY ABOUT THE VISUAL PRESENTATION OF SCHOLAR

I adore scholar but I was very disappointed with how they were shown in the job trailer.

Here are my issues:

• Sch is one of the least flashy jobs in the game so already it's not going to look great

• The location is a plain flat snowy road so it's not interesting to look at aside from "oh look modern paving" which is a contrast to how roads typically look in the game.

• The location being plain doesn't help sch to look more flashy, it actually accentuates how much less flashy it is because a lot of the time you're just looking at...a road.

• The sch is a lalafell placed quite far away from the viewer. This means that character animations are obscured by both how tiny the character is and how far away they are. The lalafell is so far back that on screen it's almost the same size as the fairy. So a person can't even look at the character and think "oh I like how they moved when they casted that spell".

Anyone who knows how sch works would have seen some interesting things in that video, but anyone who does not is going to immediately draw comparisons with how the other three healers look. And from that they're not likely to think that sch is something that could excite them.

I really think a lot of the "sch is dead!" memes come from how disappointing sch looks compared to the other healers. I love sch's mechanics but its section in the job trailer was visually mostly boring. The other healers looked spectacular.

I'm not saying "SE FIX THIS NOW" because that's an incredibly unrealistic thing to ask for. Even if the expansion wasn't delayed due to the many difficulties SE have faced it still would be silly to ask for that. It's far too close to launch and frankly SE have better stuff to do right now than to make a class look prettier.

What I want is in future for SE to give sch some more visual attention. Please make the spells look more interesting and make sure we can see the sch character properly in job trailers. Not put one of the least flashy jobs in a plain setting with a tiny character so far from the viewer that you can't see its character animations.

And again I'm not trying to discuss mechanics but I'm sure many are going to anyway ;D

Yea I don't like when they use Lalafell to display job changes or glamours because the care they take in making sure the MSQ cutscenes frames the camera properly for Lalas isn't present in those environments, I don't want them to exclude Lalas from promotional stuff either though, but they do need to be cognizant of that and try to address those needs that Lalas have if they wanna have a Lala show off w/e it is the Devs wanna show off, they have to keep it in mind, like how Yoshida-san adjusts his camera whenever he pilots his debug Lalafell character during PLLs (which I hope he keeps doing too, she's a cool character in my view).

I know SCH, and the demo was still shit. "SCH is dead" has nothing to do with the visuals. Just saying.
