Fists of ____

fists of fire, earth, etc, shouldn't halt MP regen when you have it active while in passive mode. it's annoying having to turn it on and off all the time just to conserve your mana even when you are out of battle.

making these moves so that they only eat MP when you attack would fix this.

it would also be nice to have a visible effect for each auto-attack with a "fists of" move active, ie fists of flame would have a fire effect whenever you auto-attack with it on. there are already existing graphics that would fit nicely

it doesnt drain mp when you passive. and if fist of didnt drain mp pug would be stupid broken.

It doesn't halt it, stand still long enough in passive and you will start recovering. Pretty much all the game is doing is subtracting your Fists -MP per tic vs. your +MP per tic. Once the + overtakes the - you start recovering MP. As long as you stand still the recovery will gradually pick up.

It should work this way because for example, Fists of Wind has the movement speed bonus even if you are out of battle so it should still "drain" your MP, and the others should work the same for consistency. It's all just something you have to get used to, but as you get higher in level MP becomes less of an issue, and is a complete non-issue with a BRD.

I do, however, agree that we should have some kind of visual effect while the buff is up.

I am with you on this, not talking about SSJ auras but some fist effects perhaps.

In case, you don't know... If you get enmity on mobs while in passive mode, your mp consumption will happen the same as active mode.

That would be like saying that Whm and Blm when not in passive mode and weaps out won't regen MP. lol If your in active mode and you're using something that requires MP, you WILL lose it and it will not regen till back in Passive mode or in your case, turned off.
