At any devs, have you guys ever considered adding a dedicated party chat for the game? Could be an optional join in voice chat for players that want to communicate in game without relying on other 3rd party chat services like Discord or TeamSpeak.
The text chat is good but having the option to join into a voice chat with other users instead of having to join a random person's discord server to get vocal callouts would be a neat addition to the game.
Back in May Sony and Discord entered a special partnership, so something like this may be coming, though not necessarily as a feature in and hosted through FF14.
Yoshi-P has explicitly stated that he doesn't want to add voice chat because he doesn't want people to be pressured into using voice chat to play the game.
I'd like that option, that way I could more easily talk to my PC friends who play 14.
Discord is aggravating and my phone dies quick so I'd like a system like this , ESO has it and it's great.
The nice thing about an in-game voice-comms is it can auto mute the game sounds whenever someone keys open their mic.
