Please Square/Enix let me choose how I can Play my Warrior...

Let us Tanks choose our Role in Dungeons. I love my Warrior but I get everyday treated like crap in Dungeons and that is not acceptable. It costs my fun while Healers and DD's do as they wish and treat me like a Slave. Enough is enough, there is just so much <----> left I can take, before I leave this Game. Let us choose between DD / Tank.

If i want shit then I have plenty of it in my real Live, I don't need it here. I have never asked for it. A Game should be fun but not like this. I enter a Dungeon, say Hello and try to do my Job as best as I can. But then suddenly Hell breaks loose cause the Healer forgot his Job or the DD's thinks they are now the Tank's and if all dies, I get blamed for it. Just because other Tanks pulls everything like there is no tomorrow, doesn't mean that everyone will do that. :(

And I swear by Lord Zodiark if all goes to Hell, none of those other Players in Dungeons will ever tell you that laying on the cold Floor was not your fault.

When you took up the job, you signed up to be a tank. And being a tank comes with responsibilities. Personally, I don't expect every tank to be on the same level, but there are certain community standards that people usually benefit from adhering to. Some do, some don't. No skin off my back either way. I accept that others may not play tanks the same way, but I do expect them to at the very least do their job, even if it's slower than most. And no, I don't think that SE should allow any leeway here. If you don't want the responsibility of being a tank, play a dps. Heck, if you wait a bit longer you will be able to play what I'm assuming will be a relatively durable dps (Reaper) with a 2 handed weapon, the scythe. For you, that may be the best of both worlds, because what you are doing currently clearly isn't working.

Your warrior is level 71, that means that Trusts are available as an option to you - so SE already granted your wish: If you dont wish to deal with other players and clashing expectations, just run the dungeons with NPCs.

You can, if you queue up as a Warrior, Paladin, Gunbreaker or Dark Knight you choose tank. If you want to play a different role, White Mage, Astrologian, and Scholar are healers, and every other job listed a "Disciple of War" or "Disciple of Magic" is a damage dealer.

it sounds like you might be unironically bad
try learning your role

that or upvote my etherial knight class, it wont happen unless players show desire for other combinations, i provided some ideas

Funny that always those who ask for a change, are the bad Players who can't play their Roles. Sorry that not every Player is the same, would it be not nice if we would be all Lemmings?

I think the issue is that there is no berserker warrior type DPS. Sure you can say we have SAM but it’s inspired heavily by eastern culture.

Personally in 7.0 I wouldn’t mind if they add Viking as a DPS that could fill that DPS warrior niche. They could use heavy hammers and heck they even could use

We already have a shock trooper job in The Final Fantasy Series it’s Viking. They are less like paladins and more like warriors but they are known to have a lightning affinity with some of their attacks.

I personally think adding Viking to fill that “Warrior” DPS niche would be a good idea they could use heavy hammers and some lightning aspected attacks and they feel similar enough to warrior but could obviously be DPS.

I'm not sure I understood what change you're asking for?

Do you want warrior to be turned into a melee dps because you like the aesthic of the job but dont like playing tank?

Do you want dungeon design to change so that wall-to-wall pulls arent possible anymore?

Do you want to see the tank role changed in some way?

...one thing they cant change is the behavior of other people - but there are already two ways for you to deal with that: report should a problem occur or avoid other people alltogther by using Trusts or squadron NPCs whenever possible (in your case Trusts are an option).
