Hi,
Im new to this game and cant work out the subcommands,
I have seen videos etc of people changing colour of walls and and furniture .
Ive read its done buy selecting dye's from the subcommand menu , ive looked in my keybinds and found the sub hotkey is * i press this and nothing happens.
Any help please

Similarly, if you wish to paint a housing fixture or furnishing, you can do so by selecting Dye by accessing Housing within the Social menu. Alternately, furnishings can be painted when selected from the inventory
Hello, as far as I know furniture and items which can be used with dyes only require you to right click and access the dye menu.
In housing mode (it’s a button available under the «Social» tab I believe), there’s even an option to let you see the list of all the furniture you have placed and can be used with dyes.
If i right click on the item in placed items i get the options "store or remove"
Ive found inthe housing menu says "furnishing color" but its greyed out and i cant click on it.
I feel i havnt unlocked dye's or something
There is a quest in Vesper Bay (West of the Horizon Atherite in Western Thanalan) that unlocks Dyes. Not sure if this will fix the issue for you or not.
I found it, i had to do a quest to unlock dyeing.
