Party Finder Penalties for Leaving

I highly doubt this will be added or even seriously considered but I'm gonna throw it out there anyways:

I play solo most of the time, mainly because I don't want to bother anyone who doesn't want to help me farm. That being said when I use the Party Finder to Find groups to farm for mounts, however, other players consistently leave after a run or two. This makes the party have to look for a new player to join. That's why I think we should have the option to make a party have penalties. An option put into the party menu that would dictate how many runs there would be required for no penalty. Penalty would be the same for leaving a duty. Then to disable the penalty early it would be the same as voting to disband in a duty, except it would just remove the penalty for leaving but not disband the party. I think 1-10 for the amount of runs would be ok.

I don't think it would be too difficult to add since the game already tracks when you complete a duty as well as having a party voting system in place.

I think this could make the game better.

I get you, but I feel this would be massive trolling.

Imagine I start a party with required 3 or so runs and we just never go. You are forced to see yourself out because this isn’t what you signed up for.

Unfortunately we have to rely on manners and a sense of honor from other players which more often than not will have you feeling disappointed.

The better plan is to find likeminded players and work together, even if you all are mostly solo.

Why would anyone ever join a party with this option selected? I'm not going to risk joining a "five run" party only to find out it's clearly a "carry my friend who has no idea what they're doing" party. A feature like this is also ripe for abuse as Kaynide pointed out. The party lead could sneak in a higher number before queuing and now you're suddenly getting slapped with a penalty.

While it sucks when people leave after a single pull. It's just something we all have to deal with from time to time. Forcing people who don't want to stay is never a good idea. What incentive do they have to try? They don't want to be there and now you're attempting to force a penalty on them. If they grudgingly stay, they'll do the barest of minimums or outright demand to be kicked.
