Can't find FC and friends cause of my timezone.

Hello there. Straight to the point - for more than a year I haven't been able to find a FC and friends cause of my timezone (UTC + 7). And I can't play in JP and NA DC cause my latency (280-290 ms and 230-260 ms). What should I do to find people who'll can play with me?

You could try going to your respective servers forum page and look for a recruiting Free Company if you're having problems finding one ingame.

Cerberus (EU)

To find people to befriend I can't answer, as it's a personal effort which also depends on whether or not the other wanna be friends.

I would try, the Final Fantasy XIV Community Finder, put in your information by simply logging in with your account, dozens of FC's should show up, and you can sift through which ones are the most active during your playtime.

Another one is to be more social during your playtime by, joining the Novice Network, talking in the SHOUT channel which is basically a general chat for whichever zone you're in at the time. Also, when you are running content, take notice of FC names that you see frequently, and check them out.

Another one is to Google your Data Centers Discord, on there, there will be people chatting, along with recruitment channels and alike, that you could see if they suit your interests.

Then there are also FC's recruiting on these forums, along with pages on FFXIV's Sub-Reddit.

Lastly, if you are on Facebook, you can even search for your World's Facebook group, apply to join it, and then, post your interest on joining a FC during your playtime/timezone.

There will still be other players online at the same time you are even if there are fewer than during peak hours. Build the community you want to exist. You might try starting your own FC as an example.

UTC +7 is East Asia. Why is your ping to JP DC bad?

Cause I'm from Russia.

Depending on your location, the EU datacenters may offer a better ping than NA datacenters. Likely less of a time difference too.
