Will I be able to recreate character after 2.0 release?

I just read about male mithras and female galkas coming out in 2.0. Will Square Enix give me the option to change my characters features in case I want one of the following new genders? Or am I stuck with what I got and need to create a totally new character and level him/her all over again >_>? Thanks

Yes, you will be able to change the looks (and race and gender) of your current character when 2.0 is released.

The important part is, we still don't know if we are going to be able to change our character name. Looks unlikely so far.
