Would love to see more in-game lore for Races/Tribes in the story

I recently saw someone point out, about the only Duskwight we ever encounter in the story is the "villain" of the Lancer quests, which is actually a pretty massive shame. And with us traveling to the moon in Endwalker, I feel like it would make a great deal of sense to have us interacting with some Keeper of the Moon Miqo'te. I mean, do they even abide by the same "Tia/Nunh" rules for their males? I can't readily think of a single member in the story.

I also wouldn't mind seeing how the various Roegadyn(s?) related. Seeing as Gosetsu is apparently also a Roe (I honestly thought it was just a big human or Hyur), is he of even another tribe?

Seeing as I play one, it should come as no surprise I'm a HUGE fan of the Xaela and all their lore! But it does feel kind of surprising that there is very little presence of the Raen. What few there are, feel like they could just be totally interchangeable with Midlanders.

For the record, there's also a part of me that kind of digs the idea of getting a third new Tribe for each race, as opposed to just new Races in the future. Races are obviously AWESOME, but with the Hrothgar and Viera helmet issues, I think we can all accept there are downsides. I feel like that could be kind of cool, anyways (maybe touching on Tribes that we're only discovering outside of Eorzea?).

Give us more Lore about the Clans and Tribes that weren't featured prominently so far, some people really want to know more for Backstory purposes.

Edit: Keepers of the Moon don't have Tribes. They are a matrimonial culture where the woman is the head of the household, and from a Little Ladies Day a few years back we know that the males/husbands seem to roam a lot and don't seem to be around much.

The matrimonial part is obvious with how male Keepers are named after their mothers with a part telling how many sons a mother had in contrast to female Seekers who are named after their father.

Agreed on every level, having more lore to explore for all of the various tribes and races would be fantastic!

do the sorrow of werlyt quests. also pretty sure miounne is a duskwight.

that being said, it would be nice to find some more remnants of gelmorra or find out whats making that weird humming noise in north shroud, maybe they can put some duskwight lore in that mystery

I do agree that we do need more lore on some of the less-covered clans. We also got a postmoogle quest on Moonkeepers, but it didn't go too deep into it. In 1.0, we had NPCs in the cities that spoke more on the clans that live in each city and how they interact with each other and society as a whole, and I wish they brought that back. I also wonder how much Banri Oda and Koji Fox have written that hasn't made it to the game yet.

There are some third clans already. As far as Gosetsu goes, he's a different type of Roegadyn from Sea Wolf or Hellsguard and is considered "Far-eastern Roegadyn". Same goes for Hyur who aren't from Eorzea. "Midlander" is an Eorzea-only clan of Hyur and Hyur elsewhere are referred to as "Far-eastern Hyur" or "Dalmascan Hyur" in the lore book. Closer to home, Ishgardian elezen are also not Wildwood or Duskwight but a separate clan of "Ishgardian Elezen".

The reason why there is very little lore on the Raen is because they are completed assimilated into Hyur culture wherever they go. For example, Hingan Raen are interchangeable with Hingan Hyur and have their same culture, naming conventions, and also participate in the government to the same extent. There are Raen samurai clans in Hingashi as there are Hyur samurai clans. Thousands of malms away, the Raen of Terncliff and Werlyt have the same dress and naming conventions of the Hyur native to that region. That tells us that there is no existing Raen-specific culture anymore and they don't really have any lore specific to them beyond their ancient history.

Atelloune, Eorzea's leading biologist, is a Duskwight. The 1.0 Serpent Commander was also a Duskwight. There's also a Duskwight researcher outside a hole to Gelmorra talking about wanting to research the city and her clan's history. I wish that would come back. I wonder if they were holding onto that for future content.
