How do you know what size frames to get for joyous painter?

I just bought two illustrations from the joyous painter. I didn't realize I would have to get frames to be able to put them into my apartment. What do I need to buy to be able to put them in my apartment? I know frames come in different sizes but the illustration doesn't say if it needs a certain size frame. Does the illustration just scale to the frame?
