Is there a Crysta limit; how does it work?

I've been scratching my head at this issue for a few days now and, apparently, any threads made about this were never really solved. I came across a dozen or so posts, and they were all left hanging with either no responses or even more questions.

Pretty much all of my purchases outside of Steam are done with the Crysta currency, which also includes my subscription fees. I've also done a few purchases in the past two months and was hoping to get one of the current items that are on sale; but any attempts at trying to add more than 1,000 Crysta are met with "You cannot exceed the Crysta limit." I only have 30 Crysta with me right now as the leftovers of a previous purchase. Is there like a monthly cap? An account cap? How does any of this work? Is my account borked, somehow?

I would really appreciate some further clarification as I'm pretty lost on this.

That's really weird, because I pay for my monthly sub with Crysta and buy 1299 regularly to do so. Is it possible you don't have sufficient funds or something? I know there's a minimum (500, I believe), but I've never encountered a maximum.

No sufficient funds? What do you mean?

I have no registered card or payment method added to my account. Every time in the past it'd direct me to a payment method and I'd switch it up between my card, Steam wallet or PayPal. I can still do direct purchases, just not buy Crysta whatsoever. And by the looks of it, I'm starting to think something might be wrong with my account.

I just meant like if you were using, for example, a prepaid card and it didn't have enough for what you were trying to buy, and it got rejected.

That's the thing, it doesn't even let me get to the Payment method. Just by selecting the amount of Crysta that I want, the error shows up.

That's definitely weird. I've bought way more Crysta without any issues, and never anything telling me I reached a limit. Have you submitted a support ticket about it?

I was hoping to save that as a last-measure attempt, seeing how long Support can take to get back at someone. I suppose I have no choice but to do just that then.

I suppose the sooner you do it, the sooner you'll find out. Maybe you'll get an answer here before then, but at least if support ever gets back to you on it you'll have a definitive answer from the source. I hope you figure it out soon, it sounds pretty frustrating.
