PS4 closing game issues

Hi all,

First off I’m recently new to the game (just starting HW). Also this is my first post on here as I can’t seem to find any information about my issue despite searching on google endlessly.

I have the PS4 version. Whenever I want to stop playing I sometimes select log out but I mainly select “exit game” from the menu and it takes me back to the launcher. This is where I have my issue. I will then go to PS4 home and press the options button and select “close application”. Some of the time I don’t have any problem and it closes fine but every now and then it takes a good few seconds to close and then the game disappears and then I have to reinstall the game

Now I know this is a known bug for PS4/5 where the game corrupts if not closed down properly. I am looking for advice on how to close the game down correctly to stop this happening as it annoys me to have to reinstall the game.
