Hide does not work in Ninja Bathing solo fight

Steps:
1. Enter the solo fight in Aleport for the Ninja level 40 job quest
2. Use Hide immediately
3. Attempt to slowly pass the guards
4. Get aggroed by several guards despite having the Hide buff.
5. Hide buff lost and am instantly killed

Hide is supposed to work for mobs 10 levels above yours yet the guards are equal and less level than my ninja. This bug makes doing the level 40 Ninja job quest impossible to complete.

Not a bug, it's a bat.


It's the bats that can break your Hide, you must move in such a way that you are always to their rear or they will see right through your Hide.
Target the bats as you get near them, to see if they are linked to the guards. Linked bats will also pull the guard(s) that are linked.
If need be, you can pull the first bat away from the guards once it has moved away from them and fight it behind the Aetheryte to kill it, otherwise watch the first and second bat's path timing and move around behind them.
The third bat you can simply follow down the ramp.

Always fully read the quest dialogs, all that what the NPCs say, as they do warn you that the bats can still sense you even if they can't "see" you because of your Hide skill.
