Sound cut out randomly

So this has happened to me twice now. Playing the game, then suddenly no sound from it. I have sound from other applications, just not FF14. First time it happened quitting to desktop and relogging fixed it, second time it did not.

Read some things from a couple years ago but none of them seem to apply to me. Correct audio device is selected, drivers are up to date, etc.

What is going on and how do I make it work again?

Same issue, was playing and audio just cut out. Exited the game, and audio worked normally in Windows. Started another game, and audio worked normally.

From what I've read, this have been an ongoing issue for years. Something about their sound API.
