Why does Warrior AoE have to be so much worse than other tanks?

Decided to main WAR for a variety of reasons, but I just can't get over how needlessly clunky their AoE is.

First, it's the only tank that needs a target to do it's AoE combo. With how absolutely broken tab targeting is in this game that alone is enough to throw the WAR behind every other tank gameplay-wise.

Second, the frontal cone. Enemies don't gather in a cone in front of you, they gather in a circle around you, so if you don't constantly move to the edge of a group of enemies your AoE opener misses most of them, and then you have to move back to the center to get everything with the circular second hit.

Third, the lack of any kind of OCD AoE attack, which would make wall to wall pulling feel a lot better.

Now I realize that none of this actually matters because dungeons are so easy a naked healer could tank them, but this kind of stuff does grate on me.

Not having ever played a warrior I can see where this would be annoying for some. Do any of the other tank classes have a circular AoE sorry I never looked up the info so don't know. Maybe suggesting a rework of the opener? Can you just turn around instead of having to move to the edge I asking because I really just don't know about the skill set of warriors.

I fully agree with this (Although WAR does get an OGCD aoe ability eventually). I often change to any other tank when doing dungeons just because WAR is more annoying to play.

DRK is kind of in the same boat, kind of, just because their OGCD aoe is in a line instead of a circle.

Every other tank classes AoE combo is 2 circular AoE attacks that don't require a target, and both GNB and PLD have an off CD circular AoE dot that doesn't require a target. The difference in how much better PLD, GNB and even DRK plays in AoE situations is painful. I'm having a hard time getting over it, even though I like Warrior better for thematic reasons.

Just Equilibrium for mass AOE aggro.

Or Infuriate + Chaotic Cyclone.

Or uncombod Mythril Tempest.

Honestly, I find the life of a warrior to be a lot easier than that of, say, a Paladin (weak DPS) or a Dark Knight (I goddamned HATE the placeable AOE you're forced to rely on).

The cone AoE is one of the thing I enjoy the most when tanking dungeons with WAR. Makes it feel a bit different from the other tanks.
Regarding the lack of oGCD AoE, I am assuming this is the new ability in the benchmark: AoE Upheaval.

Equilibrium has a worse aggro multiplier than damage, and it's kind of a waste since it's usually the first group of enemies where the whole party is trying to peel everything off of you. Something like PLDs Circle of Scorn makes peeling enemies off of you virtually impossible, though; healers can pregen/preheal all they want, DPS can start burning individual mobs for whatever reason, and none of the enemies on you will budge.

As a WAR I usually pull with uncombod Mythril Tempest and watch as 1 at a time everything that's chasing me gets peeled off. Sometimes I can use Equilibrium to get them back, but at that point it's wasted because I haven't really taken any damage yet. WAR is just worse for this than every other tank, and that's only 1 of the problems with their AoE options.

Haven't really looked into expansion abilities, but if WAR is actually getting an OGCD AoE in Endwalker that's awesome.

Reposition the enemies? Its not that hard to tag whatever you have in front of you and then run through them so they follow, then most if not all are in the cone aoe range which is fairly large. This is also most likely a thing due to 1.0 aoes all having different types. MRD/WAR then was almost all cone type moves.
