Retainer To The Dunes?

1) Retainer in Ul'Dah - Armorfitters Row (been there for many months)
2) Go to Limsa Lominsa -- Ul'dah Mercantile House
3) Summon Retainer from Ul'dah via the Bell
4) View contents of Retainer
5) Exit out of interface (so retainer is no longer present)
6) Use bell to check Retainer's location: Shown as 'The Dunes'
7) Summon Retainer
8) Send Retainer to Ul'Dah - Armorfitters Row
9) Use bell to check Retainer's location: Shown as 'Ul'Dah - Armorfitters Row'
10) Go To Ul'Dah - Armorfitters Row
11) Can not see Retainer
12) Use Menu to summon Retainer to this location - Message that the area is too full to summon Retainer
14) Use Menu -> Retainers to see where Retainer is -- Shown as The Dunes

So a couple of issues here:
1) Summoning a retainer out of the Wards temporarily (at a bell) to view the contents will result in the Retainer returning to the Dunes rather than last actual location
2) Retainer locations incorrectly state is in the Market Wards when in reality is in The Dunes

Side-effect (intentional?):
If you summon a retainer out of the wards to exchange items you will loose the ability to keep the retainer in the wards (and therefore loose the ability to sell items via your retainer from that ward location) (This is due to space restriction and someone taking the spot while you are momentarily interacting with your retainer).

Therefore we should avoid summoning a retainer via the bell unless you are okey with the retainer not being able to return.

Is it intended that the only reliable way of interacting with my retainer is by visiting them personally in the ward (as opposed to using the bell?)
