The Masamune Sheep Bot

I'm calling this person out: Yau Foek (Masamune), linkshell FLS: http://lodestone.finalfantasyxiv.com...s?gcid=1065889

I know for a fact he bots, I've been around him for a week south of Glory killing sheep and it's pissing me off. No I can't prove it unless I hack his shit or instigate the FBI to search his stuff, but I know it. I'm tired of this botting. If SE can't track them down then allow us to find them for you and actually do something about it. As far as I'm concerned the 2 players in that "FLS" ls should have their accounts suspended.

I spotted another one out there today, can't remember his name but it wasn't the same guy. What i did was just claim all the sheep and pull them around him so he would nuke them dead for me lol. Then i came up with the idea to use the sheep's knockback to screw him. I would line the sheep up so that they knock the bot guy out into the road out of range of the sheep lol. So in the end he was just standing there :D

haha someone was banned in that star wars mmo for saying that as that was under the age limit to play the game. he then proved he was of age but the ban was permanent. How many you be perm banned for age? if he really was that age he would eventually grow up and be of age but still be banned for being underage. I hope SE doesn't have a ToS like sony.. eww..

you know the funny thing is probably cause all the ppl with the 8 bots doing 1 thin are all separate account tha se is making money off of so thats probably the reason why they arent instabooted. i mean really like character like wegwngoqw arent hard to spot out and be obviously bots?

That happened in SWTOR, not Star Wars Galaxies (R.I.P.)

The main way SE checks to see if someone is botting is have a GM send them a tell, under the impression if you see a GM tell you would reply to it thinking wtf. All GM names in FFXIV have Rep as the first name, therefore its easy to write a program that replies to a tell from someone called Rep xxx (xxx is a wildcard), the GM can also ask random questions, because AI is normally very limited, for example if a GM says "what do you think of this bear?" AI could reply "it is very nice" or seeing it as a question with what do you think in reply "I neither agree nor disagree" whereas a human would reply with a question like "what bear?"

The problem comes when people use highly advanced AI, its becoming better and always getting harder for people to recognise the differance with an AI reply and a human reply (I'm talking about advanced AI, not these robot chat websites you see.)

If SE takes bans too lightly legitimate players will get banned, they need to throughly investigate, which is why it seems to take a long time to do anything. Take me I spent most of yesterday mining in Nanawa, which some people could see as a potential bot, which is why SE needs to investigate.
