Same deal on Durandal. Best we've gotten so far is a post by Yoshi saying they would monitor progress and movement around hubs in this patch.
Less people in Ul'dah = opened character creation. (Sadly I write this from Ul'dah looking for an iffy party since no one will use the search function).
I finally convinced my friends to join, and the next day servers lock. And the Idea of re-rolling an account makes my head hurt.
