Please consider whether you could make some of the beautiful artwork created for this game available as posters or prints. The recent LP promotion has some stunning images with it but isn't something I want to buy. I would happily buy a print or poster.
I love all of the promo and cover arts for FFXIV, it's very refreshing to see actual drawings and paintings and not just CG or ingame models thrown into photoshop.
And also... It's not just the characters looking angry starring forward into the camera or a behind view with their assault rifle aimed towards the air etc.
Cover art is like a lost artform....
One that FFXIV haven't forgotten.
I agree with this, and just find SE's merch choices kind of bewildering in general. Not that I want them to merchandise FF14 to every possible end but there are some pretty clear and obvious blind spots. As in this topic, the official artwork is gorgeous but isn't sold almost at all unless it's a small version stuck on the front of something else. They do cheap standees of the characters and official job artwork but restrict actual proper statues to collector's edition pack ins or left field choices like Omega M/F. Alphi and Ali finally got Nendoroids but no one else has. Etc.
I dunno. If there's one FF14 related piece of merch I'd actually go out of my way to buy it would be a proper statue of the Red Mage character art that they currently only have as a cheap standee.
there are some "high quality" versions of some XIV artwork available, but only in Japan from the Square Enix store and they are VERY expensive.
I don't know if this will work for you, but basically all of the expac posters have been made into jigsaw puzzles. I like to frame puzzles, but YMMV.
