New Game+ Chapter Recommendations

So, looking through the New Game+ screen (and actually using that to go replay ARR for the first time in years), it hit me:

SE should highlight chapters in New Game+ that would help us with lore research for the new expansion. Thoughts?

I'm not sure if they could/should do that, but I do want to see it divided into more chapters – split it every two levels instead of five, perhaps.

The big thing right now is that to play the "big finale" of Shadowbringers you have to go through the slow patch of the Ahm Araeng arc, full of tedious objectives and that drawn-out solo fight as Thancred.

I would like to see it divided out so you can actually play chapters, not a whole half a game to get to the good bits.

I could see it divided into:
1. Arrival + early arcs in Eulmore and Ahm Araeng
2. Solo mission at Laxan Loft + Il Mheg
3. Rak'tika Greatwood
4. "When It Rains" solo chapter + western Ahm Araeng
5. "Return to Eulmore" through to finale

And similar divisions for the other expansions. Roughly two levels per chapter.

They do highlight the content of the chaper for it to be understandable enough, but it could be more transparent for sure.

Also I'm surprised that they didn't go with dividing chapter into simply patches, but then again, patches starting from HW are fairly small so there's not much sense to it, I guess.

Yeah, the ARR patche MSQs are a bit yuge.

I'm just doing it all. Currently at the end of HW right now. There is so much stuff I missed during my first playthrough and going back 6 years later is awesome. There are so much small lore bits through each segment Devs can't really highlight just one.

While that's true, saying "Go play the Crystal Tower chapter" from the raids before ShB would have given us a way to review that storyline so certain characters would have been brought to the forefront.

Only thing I'm asking for is like an option on the screen for an expansion prep category with several chapters selected, or an overlay on several buttons that says "Endwalker recommended" or something like that. Basically, something that is on between the X.55 patch and the release of the next expansion, and disappears until then as it has been years (sometimes many) since some of us have seen some of these storylines, and having a more targeted reminder may be helpful for that.

They did tell us that at Fan Fest.

There was a similar comment this year – there's nothing quite so critical as CT for Shadowbringers and the broad recommendation is "do everything", but particularly the Binding Coil and Omega.
