Issues with receiving a particular quest

idk where to post this, here on rec from someone in game.

I've completed all reqs for lvl 30 BLM job quest Taking the Black but it isn't there.
I've done Facing Your Demons and Slyph Mgmt confirmed in journal under completed, I have the soul stone equipped for BLM class, I'm 18 levels above the req. It's not locked, it just isn't even offered in the first place. Not in my quests in progress. I'm 27 MSQ levels past the story quest prereq. I've gone to Yayake who should be the one who gives it, but I'm being gated out of job progression it seems like :( :(

If you have the BLM soul stone you must have already done the quest Taking the Black - since that quest is where you get the soul stone.

Yeah, if you already have the BLM soulstone then it sounds like youre asking the wrong question. The question instead is where to go next. The next quest(the lvl 35 one) should be given by Lalai. She can be found on the ledge above the calamity salvager in Ul Dah. Back near the weaver guild.
