Increasing max size of Cross-world Linkshells planned ?

Hello everybody !

I'm coming to you to see if you have of news to share about the possibility to increase the maximum size of Cross-world Linkshells.

I'm managing one for belgian players and we're actually facing to a problem about that: not enough place on the LS for everybody !

I've found subjects from 2019 who already talked about that, but since, nothing changed :/

So, with the release of Endwalker and the possibility to travel through datacenter on the same region, I guess being able to create groups with people from the others datacenters would be cool too, but with the actual limit of 64 people it's a total non-sense for me !

Is the development team is thinking to make some changes about that ? Have they talked about that recently (so earlier then 2019 ^^).

I don't think it has been talked about. It would be good but even if the limit was doubled we probably wouldn't be happy. You could try making a discord server.

We already have a discord, but that's not the best to talk and plan "easy" things like daily roulettes, help for dungeons or just tchat while playing. And there is also people who don't use Discord for many reasons.

And I'm not talking on just doubling the limit, but why not fix it like the normal Linkshells. I don't understand... Normal linkshells are limited to 1000 people, for an audience "limited" on a single world. And on the other side we have extremely limited cross-worlds Linkshells, who can target a lot more people :/

They uh... aren't. Never were, either.

You're likely mixing up linkshells with fellowships, which is a completely different feature that doesn't even have classic chat, and is crossworld by default.

If you multiply the 128 capacity by the 8 linkshell slots you get 1000.

And CWLS have 500 in this case. Noticeable difference, but not what you call "extremely limited" imo. Tbh I don't see much sense in implying 8 linkshells, given that they can't be connected with each other. You can't talk to person from LS1 without being in LS1 anyway.
Either way expansion would be obviously nice to have, I don't think there would be a single person who's against that. Even 128 was't a lot back when CWLS weren't a thing.

i would hope so and I'm wondering how cross data center travel will work. I hope we have linkshell communications at the least.

Considering that they said it requires a log out and log back in I very much doubt you'll be able to chat cross DC. It's not impossible for that to happen but XIV's chat system is one of the weaker implementations out there.

Bump this thread!! I really think Cwls need more space, I manage a CW community and I have to constantly be kicking people Out of my cwls to have space for new ones, also it would help to see for how long a player has been offline, just like in FC player list, so you know they can be remove. Please Yoshi P read this TT-TT...
