Sorry if this was posted somewhere else already, I looked but couldn’t find anything,.. please let me know if it has already been posted/announced about.
Pre-patch 1.22, each of bards songs had its own unique tune (Swiftsong, Ballad, Minuet, etc), they sounded completely different from each other.
Post-patch 1.22, all songs have the exact same tune, they all sound exactly the same as swiftsong (that screeching sound).
Was this done on purpose? Or was this a bug caused from patch 1.22? And are there any plans to bring back the unique tunes each song used have pre-patch 1.22? I really hope to have the old tunes back, because constantly hearing the screeching sound is annoying, plus it gives no uniqueness to how the songs sound from each other, which doesn’t make any sense to me (especially since they each had their own unique sound in the game already). I would really appreciate it if we got a dev. reply on this subject please ^^

That whistling is the cast finish sound. The original sounds are still there.

I agree with Mystina, the unique sounds are WAY too quiet and get dwarfed out by other abilities or the BGM.
I have to admit, the old sounds kind of grated my ears, however, when everytime I cast a song it's: "DO RE ME FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA" for every song instead of "BA DUM DUM DOOOO DU~M!" for tp song or "DODODOdodododoDODODODIDIDIDI" for ballad song, I have to do a lot of double-taking when I want my eyes to be somewhere else, like on the monster I'm trying to kill, instead of party members of my active effect bar because if I cast the wrong song, then I will have to run back out. -

I was really hoping that by "changing the BRD casting animation" they meant actually having the BRD play an instrument or some such, not just changing the casting aura. I was really disappointed when I saw the animation for songs was just a generic casting animation.

The sounds of battle and the BGM muffles the sounds of the songs so much, it's impossible to even hear them, let alone hear the slight differences between them.Quote:
