Another source for rare cards

So i had an idea for another potential way they could add to give players access to rare/annoying to farm cards. If this has already been suggested and ive just forgotten or missed it, i apologize.

So my idea is that they add another card "pack" to the vendor. It randomly picks a card to give you from the list of cards you dont already have yet. You set the price in MGP to be equal(or higher if you like) then the most expensive card you can buy, so this cant be used as a means to get a discount. As a bonus, it gives a really inefficient way for people who are MGP capped to open up some space so long as they arent also finished collecting all the cards.

It would have to be ludicrously expensive, probably becoming more expensive the fewer cards you have. Completing your collection requires you to engage with most of the game. That's what the developers want. If somebody makes a party for Memoria Misera to get the card, that's people engaging with the content.

Even if the price was like 100000MGP per pack, it's still not that inefficient given how easy MGP is to earn and how much time sine cards require (like cards from beast tribes).

I don't see a reason why it'd need to exist. Looking at Varis or G-Warrior cards, players that don't want to touch EX content can wait until Endwalker to unsync them.

I was actually thinking 1mil or more per pack(at least as expensive as the highest card - so currently Cloud's 1 mil). I wrote the post after a session of failed attempts at one of the 50 or so cards ive yet to earn, while im also frustrated at being MGP capped. If there was something new i could spend a large chunk of MGP on, i could go back to enjoying the saucer instead of it feeling like a waste of time since i cant earn anything. If it also got me one card closer, all the better.

For some of the dungeon cards I think it'd be a good idea, but they do need to keep enough random in place to keep people doing the content the cards drop from. So yeah, maybe for some of the dungeon drops but not for extremes and raids.

I think trials and raids seem to have the lowest drop rate - for those cards, I'd love for the drops to be able to be traded in for the TT cards like the mounts are.

I didn't have a single problem getting cards from extreme Trials so far, the only one that wont drop for me is, Thordan, it is just so tidious to farm because the fight takes so long, it takes the same time as killing Warrior of light EX just because of all the animations going on.

Get a team of L80s together for a farm and it's about four minutes unsynced, I'd say. Still took me about 50 clears to get the card, though. I hear Varis is as stingy and you can't get away with an unsync farm on him yet.

Making it an MPG sink sounds good. Being able to purchase Ex trial cards with totems would also be a dream. Sigh
