Invisible Monsters/Players.

Every now and then, I'll walk into a room and NPC/Players won't load, it seems like a lag issue. Where the PC/NPCs haven't yet loaded on the screen.. but after 10min+ of waiting each time they don't appear. It feels like it's my issue, not the game/SE... what can I do ? Its frustrating XP Partying.. and healing invisible people fighting invisible monsters... and me just standing there, makes the game crummy on interaction..

thats actually due to the congregation of too many people in one area it causes serious lag on the server and it is not fixable

This is actually very upsetting to me for two BIG things:

1) I like to explore.. so I'm happy trotting around on my Chocobo through pretty areas and enjoying the scenery then.. suddenly... dead. Just dead.. on the ground... a few seconds later I see that I'm surrounded by level 70-99 mobs.

No warning on radar, no visibility in front of me. No other people around either.. just me and the environment.

I'm not sure this is a good experience ^.^;

2) I like to do quests... and last nite I was looking for the man who wanted help to defend Gridania from invaders.. so I run up the route to find him, keep looking around him and did not find him. Then go back, thinking the event is over... still no finding him.

Then someone gives me the <POS>. Turns out I passed him TWICE, just he would not 'load'. I was about to just give up if I did not get the POS figuring I had missed the event and it was over by the time I got there.

Even with <POS> I had to idle at the location for a bit before I saw everything.



Also, did you know, you can walk around Ul'dah and see no one. WALK.. not just run. But walk.. nothing loads if you keep moving in a straight line. It's great if you want to get that empty city feeling ^.^:

Time to beef up the servers upload rate or something. None of the other MMOs I've played have had problems with displaying hundreds of people at once, even at pretty good distances.

From my experience just running around Ul'dah, it only loads people a second or two's run from you. It seems like it's also built into the client, since in the market wards, retainers that have already loaded will disappear if you walk a few steps away from them.

I guess this is one more thing we can hope will be in the magical 2.0 release that fixes everything that's bad, eh?
