I hope this grabs some attention, because I love chess and I know a lot of other people do too!! I currently have a makeshift chessboard in my house that I wish I could use with friends / FC members. Can we get some chess and maybe other simple board games in housing? Can we also get a ranking system like Mahjong going as well?? What do you all think?

Having more "multiplayer" minigames would be awesome.
I wonder how much harder it'd be to code chess rather than say Triple triad though?
... would also be cool if different chessboards could be made with different pieces depending on the theme. Ishgardian chess having Holy See VS Dragons, Gridanians with Seedseers as king/queen etc etc.
More things to actually DO in a house is always welcome.

This is something I've always wanted and asked for. I don't see chess being more difficult to add than mahjong. Giving that chess has no rng, I think tournaments and ranked matches would be too easy to cheat. You can just open a game in a chess engine and mimic the other player moves and have the poor player playing against a GM bot.
Or Shogi :) Or Go :) This would be AMAZING :3
I could see the Grandmaster bot being a possibility. It'd be difficult to tell if someone was cheating as well, unless they were making galaxy brain moves in a split second. Still I'd personally like to know how I stack up against the chess playing FF14 community. I might even beat a GM bot, who knows? :)
That's an idea. Since there are some open source ones existing, it shouldn't be too complicated to add.
