Disable Legacy Camera auto adjust Please

In legacy mode on PS4 the camera keep following the player when turning around causing motion sickness and also it doesn't help avoiding AoE coz you don't move in straight line please put this feature to help disable camera tracking off in legacy mode please

It was done in the video by enabling virtual mouse and hold L2 as left click i think but of course we can't do that on console all the time

As someone who plays only on PC, i turned on Legacy mode for half a minute and wondered how anyone can play like that lol.

If you play with a keyboard, it felt bad because you didn't rebind your keys. Proper legacy mode setup requires swapping some keys around:

The devs have chosen, strangely, to make certain keys function differently between legacy mode and standard mode, rather than maintaining key functionality but just removing standard mode's camera snap. If you change these keybinds so that your keyboard uses the same keys in legacy that you would have used in standard, you might find it fixes any perceived issues you have with legacy mode so that you can use it all the time.

If you rebind your keys so that Legacy's Move [Left|Right] keys are the keys you were using for standard Strafe, and you bind Legacy's Point Camera [Left|Right] keys to use the keys you were using for standard Move [Left|Right], your legacy movement will become "standard movement, but you never backpedal and the camera never snaps in a disorienting way".

The biggest issue with Standard movement is backpedalling. Legacy mode is far superior to Standard where running away is concerned because you can run directly away from a target without having to take the time to turn your camera. However, Legacy strafing diagonally back still forces a backpedal, so to maintain its no-backpedalling behavior you have to rebind your legacy keys to use the Move/Turn keys instead of the Strafe keys. However x2, this then introduces the camera arcing that some people find disorienting.

There are two possible fixes. One is to stop the camera from arcing on Move. The other is to make the Strafe keys in Legacy mode function as direct Left/Right movement keys with no backpedalling.

I am a new player to FFXIV (PS5). I fully support the request. Please allow Console players to disable camera auto adjustment. The development effort for such a solution is minimal, but the impact for the Console player base is substantial. Please, raise this issue within the community. Thank you.

Please add this feature! Or, if not this, allow me to hold L1 to freely rotate the camera in standard mode. There are times when I want to look around without changing my character's direction, but in Legacy Mode I always feel like I'm wrestling with the camera. I have my left stick click set to draw and sheathe weapon instead of lock on, because I have the setting active where sheathing and unsheathing my weapon switches between my battle and social/menu hotbars, and if I try to unsheathe my weapon after targeting something, I don't want it to lock the camera on instead. Without being able to use the camera lock-on, the legacy camera's auto adjust makes it somewhat diffucult to keep my target in view. So this would really improve my experience.

I don't want my character to run in a circle in legacy mode, I still want to strafe. I just want to have free camera control.

If I hold down the left mouse button, the camera works exactly as intended, and I've tried just weighing that button down with something. But it makes gameplay unfeasible, because menus go completely haywire.
